EID GIFT for ALOR March 2025

Alor, an island located in eastern Indonesia, offers breathtaking natural beauty and promising economic potential. Situated approximately 3,500 km from the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, Alor has become an attractive destination to explore. With an area of nearly 3,000 km², Alor is home to around 220,000 people. The majority of Alor’s population is of productive age, accounting for about 60% of the total population. Most residents of Alor work in agriculture and fisheries. However, unfortunately, around 20% of Alor’s population still lives below the poverty line.

The LAN Foundation has been paying attention to the Alor community since 2024. Among the assistance provided to the Alor community are renovations of places of worship, provision of worship equipment, sacrificial animals, and basic food supplies distributed to several villages in various sub-districts (such as Binongko, Buono, Kapelang, Kampung Raja, and Tanjung Sembilan).

At the end of Ramadan 1446 H/2025 AD, the LAN Foundation once again provided 100 packages of Eid al-Fitr gifts to the community, particularly widows, elderly, and orphans in the aforementioned areas. We would like to express our gratitude to the donors who participated in distributing these Eid gifts. A little from us means a lot to those in need. “Sharing is not just about giving – it’s about creating joy within ourselves and others.”
