From Remote Areas for Indonesia’s Future
Located in the eastern part of Indonesia, this island is one of 92 officially listed outlying islands of the country. Inhabited by 171,297 people (80.6 persons/km2), this island has abundant potential for tourism. The healthy corals in its surroundings is a perfect spot for snorkeling and scuba diving. However, due to its remote position, this island is lack of infrastructure development including educational facilities. Lentera Aksara Negeri Foundation is currently raising donations to renovate one of the high schools on Alor Island.
Our Interim Projects
While waiting for the donations to be collected for the renovation, the Lentera Aksara Negeri Foundation has carried out several social and humanitarian activities.
